I am petitioning to work as a nurse in California. Can you see when I will be back in the US? And will I be able to shift to medicine (I’m a graduate of nursing and medicine) and be a doctor when I am there?
The horary chart for your question is pretty clear; that is what happens when you have a clear question (other free reading requesters, take note 🙂). The astrological chart is below:
You are ruled by Saturn, ruler of the first house of self, and by the Moon. We see that the benefic North node is just inside the ascendant, which is a generally positive indication, though not the final word. Saturn is hanging out in the seventh house, trine Jupiter, but not making any immediate aspects. We do notice that the Sun has just moved into Virgo, and Saturn is now combust. This can indicate that you do not see clearly in the situation; it may be that you do not get updates on the application process, so you really know where you stand. You may also not know exactly what is involved in becoming certified as a doctor in the US as compared to your home country.
We see that the Moon is translating light between Saturn and Venus. It looks as though Venus conjunct Mercury in Virgo in the seventh house represents the United States. The seventh house can indicate “over there,” and with Venus so strongly influenced by Mercury both by sign and by aspect, there is a definite medical flavored to Venus. The Moon applies to Venus by a square aspect, indicating delays, obstacles, and struggles. However, you should be able to get back to the US sooner or later. The aspect between the Moon and Venus will perfect in about 6 1/2 degrees; because we are dealing with double signs, we could be looking at your returning seven or eight months from now. This could actually be weeks, but that seems a little rapid for what a bureaucratic process.
Will you be able to be a doctor in the US? Of course you are able to; all you have to do is just pass a bunch of exams. I think this will be a little trickier, though, because you are represented by Saturn in Virgo, which is in the detriment of Jupiter, the planet governing your career. You might not be focusing enough on what it takes to make your American M.D. credentials happen. If you want to be a doctor here, it is absolutely essential that you focus on getting the right qualifications, which I am told is not easy or simple. The medical profession protects itself, so you must prove your worth.

Horary Astrology Question:
I´m a 16 year old high school student who has been concerned about finding the right future job. I´m graduating in three years and I have absolutely no idea what to do when I leave school. I want a job that would be really fulfilling and that I could give my best to. What is the field I could be really good at?
I´m interested in many areas, particularly arts in any form, but I don´t know whether I´m good enough to work as an artist or if I should focus on “normal ” jobs.
I´d really like to know what my ideal job would be (and if I ever get to do it) so I could start preparing myself for it while still in school (like taking courses). To find a job I could literally fall in love with is probably my ultimate material goal and I take it very seriously, so I want to make sure I won´t mess up on my future decision.
There are really three main possibilities for work: physical work, mental work, and artistic work. We have to look at which of these is the strongest in this horoscope, to determine which of these is your best choice. Mars represents physical work, and it is quite weak; it is in the sign of its detriment, in the sixth house. Even if we take the houses in this chart as descriptive rather than good or bad, as we normally do, I would not choose a planet in its detriment as indicator of a good career. What about mental work? We have Mercury in Cancer just inside the eighth house cusp. Because the eighth house rules other people’s money, there is the possibility that you could go into accounting, or investment banking, or anything where you handle other people’s finances.
However, it is Venus that is most compelling in this horoscope, indicating that something art related would indeed be best for you. Venus is conjunct the Royal star Regulus, and it is placed in the ninth house of religion, higher knowledge, and foreign countries. You seem to think that you can only be an artist in the classical sense of the word, but there are many Venus-related jobs that are not art as such. For example, you could be an interior decorator, singer or musician, do anything clothes-related (either selling clothing or designing it), jeweler, or other work that has to do with beauty or women’s goods.
We also notice that the Arabian Part of Vocation is at 9° Virgo, close to the South node. This suggests that your sense of what you want to do is as yet undeveloped, perhaps because you have not tried the possibilities you are considering. I suspect that doing something Venus related is going to be the most rewarding for you over the long term, but in the meantime you may do some work of the nature of Mercury in Cancer, which, as I explained, has to do with other people’s money.

My husband and I are starting a feng shui business and website this year. What would be a good time, day for beginning this venture? We are looking for a day to start the business and website that would bring balance, opportunity for travel and influencel, prosperity, good health and communication. We both will be 45 this year.
Over the past two years, our family moved out of working and living with a non-profit educational institute that we dedicated 18 years of our life to. I choose to give the health of my marriage, family and daughter and health of myself. These areas had suffered from the lack of attention. Now feng shui has helped offer peace, balance, health and we are looking to offer this to others. We have both been teachers of metaphysics over the past 18 years and are now moving through a transition with the feng shui with our careers.
Thank you for writing to me. The nice thing about horary astrology is that we can also use it to determine a good time frame for you to act. We cannot determine or search for the specifics that you requested, as that is only possible through an electional astrology reading, which is considerably more time-consuming. With an electional reading we can adjust the knobs much more; add this, subtract that. It’s like the difference between having a stereo with only the volume control, and a stereo with a full mixing board setup. We can, however, find the overall best time for you to start your business. It just will not have all the nuances and fine timing we would get through an electional reading.
I cast a horary chart for the time that I understood your question, and the horoscope for the moment is below:
In your question, you asked about both your business and a website to promote the business. The business would be ruled by the 10th house, while the website will be ruled by the fifth house, as it is more specifically your creation. The fifth house rules all of our creations, whether they are human children or brain children. In his horoscope, the planet Mars rules both houses; since the business and the website are largely one, this seems especially appropriate. We will want to find a time when Mars is strong.
The good news is that Mars is currently in very good shape, as it has recently entered its own sign of Aries. However, we can always try to make it even stronger. In about 11°, Mars will move forward to trine Jupiter in Sagittarius. Now, Jupiter is retrograde, but it is still quite strong in the fifth house (remember, this is the house that rules the website), so Mars’s connection to it seems like an especially auspicious time to launch the business. I would take the 11° to symbolize weeks, though if 11 months seems more realistic, that is the better timing.
The other nice thing is that in 11°, Mars will move much closer to the midheaven, where it is very powerful. Currently, it is tucked away in the ninth house. Now, the ninth house represents knowledge and higher understanding, which seems appropriate for a feng shui business. However, planets cannot exert their power very easily from the cadent houses, and with Mars moving ahead 11° toward the powerful 10th house cusp, it shows your business (if started around this time) becoming an influential force in the world.

I resigned from my job last year after 7 years. I felt my situation there had become intolerable and that I should take this as a signal to finally take the plunge and try a new career direction. I’ve had an idea in the background for a couple of years of moving into full-time share trading – a few friends do it successfully. I have a lot of knowledge and recently completed a formal exam in this area. What is lacking is actual experience at this time.
When I made the move I was aware that it would take some time to find my feet as experience doesn’t come overnight, however, I now wonder if I was in fact just a little too naive as I guess I did dive into the deep end without a clear idea of where the shore is.
Of course, now I’m starting to panic about my choice (the fear of the unknown and untried) and fear is nagging me to return to traditional administration work for the safety of the pay cheque albeit to the detriment of my soul.
I still have financial resources that can be stretched for another few months, but I do wonder if I’m deluding myself and whether my choice has been misguided.
I can certainly understand your dilemma; working at a job you dislike can certainly drive you to take all sorts of risks. Sometimes these risks work out, sometimes they do not. I cast a horary chart for the moment I understood your question. The chart is below:
You are represented by the ruler of the first house of self, the Moon. The Moon is exalted in the zodiacal sign Taurus, so it is fairly strong. The main problem is that the Moon is combust due to its close proximity to the Sun, and is getting worse because it is getting closer and closer to the Sun. Combustion can show that a person is refusing to face reality, or cannot see it, because the blinding light of the Sun is in the way. The Sun represents money, as it rules your second house of assets. This is a very clear picture of the fact that while you are enjoying being independent (Moon in exaltation), the call of the emptying wallet is getting louder (the Moon moving closer into combustion with Sun). How is your money? Not so good; the Sun is peregrine and conjunct the malefic fixed star Algol (the head of Medusa, which turns living things into stone).
The problem is that the ruler of Taurus, symbolizing your present work, is Venus in Cancer in the 12th house. Venus is rather weak, both by essential dignity and by placement in the chart. Worse, it is not about to improve, since it is headed out of its current minor dignity into complete peregrination. Your current work cannot do much to help you, regardless of how much you are enjoying yourself. The interesting thing is that the Moon is also on its way out of Taurus, so we would expect that you enter a new job in a few months. That new job is symbolized by the ruler of the next sign, Mercury in Gemini. Mercury is in its own sign, and is therefore rather strong. The Moon is Peregrine in Gemini, so while the next job will be pretty solid, I do not expect you to be having a great time. However, it should definitely improve your financial situation substantially, which is the prime concern for you.

Taking a huge risk, I resigned from my job. I sacrificed many things in life, took many risks to be qualified. My family is big and had to struggle even for basic things in life. And I found this job on my own at a diplomatic mission. They paid me the same salary as that of the clerk but I did a risky, important job. Superiors would commend me all the time, and they liked the change I brought to the department.
I gave myself one year to prove myself to the mission. At the end of it I asked them to bring my salary to the echelon I was entitled to. I was refused. I resigned on the 6th of March. Now I am working very hard to get a job in which I want to be as long as it is necessary. I am tired of changes in my life. I am just too tired. When will I get my new job?
I can understand how frustrated you must feel after putting in so much effort only to be refused just compensation. Let us take a look at the astrological indications for your next job. I cast a horary chart for the time that I understood your question. The horoscope is below:
In this chart, you are shown by the Moon, ruler of the first house of self. The Moon is in the ninth house of foreign travel and expansion of one’s horizons; as you said, this seems to fit with the general type of work that you have been doing and seek to do in the future. The job that you will get is ruled by the 10th house of work, and its ruler is Jupiter. Jupiter is very strong in its own sign of Sagittarius, and it is in the sixth house of service. Most likely, you will be required to work in a supportive role, and may help your coworkers do their jobs better as part of your job description. We see that the Moon (you) is very interested in Jupiter (the job), as the Moon is in Jupiter’s sign. Jupiter is also a little interested in the Moon, which, given they could have anyone they wanted for the position, is an excellent sign. Jupiter is in the face of the Moon.
The good news is that the Moon and Jupiter are applying to aspect, indicating that you and the job will meet. This will happen in about 8°, which translates to about nine or 10 time units, given that we are dealing with mutable signs. Most likely, this refers to weeks. You asked this question in April, but the chart I am working from has been cast for this morning, so we would expect you to get that job nine or 10 weeks from today, May 11.
I think you’ll be pleased to know that as time goes on, you will get paid according to your skills and responsibilities in this new job. This will be one of the main factors for deciding to take a job. Mars rules the next sign from the 10th house, indicating money from the job. Currently, it is in its own triplicity in Pisces, so it is moderately strong, indicating that the money will be good, though not great. The good news is that it is about to move into Aries, its own sign (and will get strengthened thereby) indicating that over the time of your tenure in this job, you will get raises that reflect your level of responsibility.

Will I be published in 2007? I have been writing since I was nine but ten years ago, I began to take workshops for fiction and then I went to grad school for non-fiction writing. I graduated in January 06. I haven’t been published but then again, I haven’t really made enough of an effort in putting my stuff out there. I enjoy writing fiction more but I have found that people respond better to my non-fiction autobiographical essays. However, writing about my life makes me feel EXTREMELY exposed plus I really don’t feel that it’s my best writing.
Anyway, I am 37 and I feel that it’s time to really put my writing out there. I would love to support myself through my writing someday, and I wanted to know if this year I can at least make a start.
I am always excited to get questions from writers, as I love literature and the whole literary world. And I can relate, at least vicariously, to the struggles of trying to get published. What’s good about your question, astrologically, is that it is a straight yes or no question, so we can see very quickly whether you will get published this year or not. There are not a whole lot of shades of gray in this scenario.
I cast a horary chart for the time that I understood your question. Horary astrology answers almost any question, with the horoscope being based on the moment that the astrologer understood the question. The horary chart for your question is below:
First, we will want to see whether you will sell your manuscript. To do this, we would want some kind of aspect between you and the publisher or agent, who is shown by the seventh house of partners or “any old people.” You are shown by the ruler of the first house, Mars in Capricorn in the ninth house. The ninth house is a cadent house, showing that you do not have a ton of control in the situation, because of course the final decision is left up to the other party. The agent or publisher is shown by Venus in Aquarius in the 11th house, which is considerably better positioned to control the situation than Mars.
Mars and Venus are not coming to an aspect, nor are we seeing translation or collection of light, whereby other planets can help make the aspect happen. We are also not seeing the Moon (your co-significator) about to meet Venus, which would give us some hope. So it is unlikely that you’ll sell your manuscript in 2007.
It may be helpful to see why the manuscript will not sell this year. There are two main reasons as shown in this horary chart: one, Venus is in the detriment of the Sun, because of Venus’s placement in Aquarius. The Sun rules are fifth house of creations, so we can see that the agent or publisher will not love your manuscript. The good news, of course, is that this is something you can remedy by rewriting or changing your work. Second, we see that your work is afflicted because of a very debilitated Saturn in your fifth house of creative work. Saturn rules your 10th house of career, or your mom, and also the 11th house of money from your career. So it may be that you are simply too busy working and making money to spend as much time on your work as is necessary.
Of course, none of this precludes your selling the manuscript in 2008 or at some other time. The best advice for 2007 would be for you to spend the time that you need working on the manuscript and making it as good as you possibly can.

Will I be successful in my career? The problem is that I feel insecure of my capacities. I wish to be a successful person, but I don’t feel that I hold the enough energy or power to do so. I am studying sociology now, and I am surrounded of many professionals, and I just wish I could become like them. I know that I must act, not complain, but it seems to me that no matter how hard I try, I can’t get good enough. On the other hand I don’t know if I’ll ever work in the field of sociology.
In a previous period of my life (I mean prior to my college years) I used to be very hard working and now … it’s not that easy. Back then I thought I will turn out to be successful, but for the moment I don’t know anymore. Somehow I feel insecure because I’m practically all alone, no parents to guide me (in the sense that they can’t give me advice about this). The thing is that in my family nobody has such a brilliant career and therefore I’ve got this strange feeling that I just can’t do better. As a student I meet a lot of great people and I’m somehow afraid that once I finish the university I won’t get to be at their level and I’ll end up feeling nostalgic about this period in my life.
I can understand your concerns; when one is in school, it is so easy to feel intimidated by the very successful professionals and academics all around. Before we get into the astrological component of this, I would encourage you to spend time talking with people whom you admire, and ask them how they became successful, what they did, what advice they would give you, etc. You will find this gives you concrete ideas that you can incorporate into your own career plan.
Venus is in the 10th house, in Aquarius, the sign of Saturn. We can immediately see that your career is very much on your mind, and it is the main driving force in your life at this time. The Moon, which shows your emotions, is in Libra, the exaltation of Saturn. In the malefic sixth house of servants and slaves, the Moon shows a very clear picture of your feelings of inadequacy. On the one hand, you feel yourself to be lowly, and on the other, you exalt your career (Saturn), expecting great things from it and from yourself.
To get a general sense of your career future, we will need to look at where Venus, and to some degree the Moon, are going. Venus is about to conjoin the Part of Fortune in the 10th house, and at the same time, it will sextile a very powerful Jupiter in Sagittarius in the seventh house. As you can probably guess, both of these indicators are extremely fortunate and promise success in your career, as the Venus-Part of Fortune conjunction will occur in the 10th house of career. Jupiter is in the seventh house of partners and significant others, indicating that success will come through the people with whom you partner, whether on a personal or professional level.
The question is whether you will succeed in the field of sociology. The career itself is shown by a very weak Saturn in the fifth house. Saturn is in Leo, the house of its detriment, and it is retrograde. We also noticed that the Moon is about to square the Sun, ruler of the fifth house (where Saturn is located), with some problematic receptions. The fifth house rules children and your own creations of any kind. With Saturn afflicting this house, there seems to be a sense that your chosen career is somehow harming any projects you’re working on. Without additional background as to your situation, I do not know what this indicates specifically. However, I do suspect that if you’re working on research projects, articles, or theses, you may need to rethink whether you want to work on them.

I have been working as an Executive Secretary for the past 12 years now. Though I have been working for big multi-national organizations, I am dissatisfied with my career. I had been trying to change my career for so long now. Have so many ideas but unable to put them any of them into action as I am married & have a kid.
So at this moment in time its difficult for me to switch to something else just like that. Recently I had a stint abroad but came back just after 7 months in December 2006.
Had returned to my previous office, but I am really frustrated. I build castles in the air by day but dismiss those ideas by the evening on the same day. At the moment I’m keen to get into the field of fitness, say, Yoga instructor combined with spirituality / astrology. I am also planning to move to Australia by making my wife the main applicant for the visa.
Please help me out & suggest whether I would be successful. What should I do to get career satisfaction?
It sounds as though you are really asking two questions in one. One, you wish to know whether you would be more satisfied careerwise abroad, and two, whether becoming a yoga or physical instructor would be appropriate for you. Horary astrology (the art of answering specific questions using a horoscope for the moment of the question) is very well equipped to answer both of these questions, so let’s get started. The horoscope for the moment I understood your question is below:
First, I do think that moving abroad would be the best way for you to get a career that you are happy with. The ruler of your first house of self is Saturn, which at present is retrograde and in the sign of its detriment, Leo. Clearly, you are not very happy with the way things are going. However, if we mentally pick up Saturn and drop it in the ninth house of foreign countries, Saturn is going to be in its exaltation in Libra. As a result, we can see that you will achieve success and career satisfaction abroad. Therefore, your idea about moving to Australia is a good one.
Second, let us see what type of career will be most appropriate for you. A physical job would be shown by Mars, so the condition and receptions of Mars in this chart will show us whether you should teach some form of physical culture. Mars is not super strong here; it is in Sagittarius and in the malefic 12th house, and does not care for Saturn (you) all that much, either. So, just being a plain fitness trainer is not going to cut it for you. However, I do think you are on the right track with the spirituality aspect of the job. Jupiter in this chart is very strong, as it is in Sagittarius, its own sign. This is an indicator you should move forward in that direction – if you can combine physical training with teaching and spiritual discipline, you could do rather well for yourself. The bottom line is that whatever you do, it must have that higher dimension. Otherwise, you will be dissatisfied, just as you are now.

I need to know if I should return to my job as a criminal prosecutor. I had a baby in 2004, whom I love more than anything. I became immediately very sick after giving birth and have been off work ever since. I’m supposed to return to work in January, my boss is now calling me to come in December. She’s putting a lot of pressure on me. I used to love my job, but I feel sick at the thought of returning. There’s a woman there, quite senior to me, who put a lot of effort into trying to ruin my life. She lied to many people about me. She tried to influence people into disliking me. She tried to ensure I got bad work reviews. She’s been continuing her efforts even though I have been away for over two years.
The job is also stressful simply from a heavy workload perspective. At the same time I really love my child and spending time with her. Sometimes, however, being at home 7 days a week is stressful and unfulfilling because I have a very traditional husband who is also bossy and often uncommunicative. I am worried that if I quit my job I’ll just be locked up in the home like the woman in the childhood story “Peter Pumpkin Eater”. He has benefited greatly b/c I’ve been home and sick and now that I’m feeling better, seems to resent it if I want to take a night off even to go to a bookstore. Can you help me with some free advice?
Your situation sounds difficult, because no matter which option you choose, you will encounter some pressure. As always, I have cast a horary chart for the moment that I understood your question. Horary astrology is perhaps the oldest form of astrology; it casts a horoscope for the moment of the question, with the idea that the answer is contained in the horoscope. It used to be extremely popular in ancient times, when few people knew their time of birth, or could not afford to have an in-depth natal interpretation. The horoscope for your horary question is below:
In this horoscope, you are shown by Venus, ruler of the first house of self. The Moon also shows you, but more with reference to your feelings in this situation. Venus is in Virgo in the sixth house, about to conjoin the malefic South node. In Virgo, Venus is in the sign of its fall, and the sixth house is the house of illness. It appears that you are not in a very good position at the moment. It could be that you’re still dealing with the residuals of your sickness, and as a result, feel less than in full control of your life.
The Moon has just moved into Scorpio, and is on the verge of entering the seventh house of partners. We can see your emotional ambivalence about your husband’s influence; the Moon is in its fall in Scorpio, showing the high levels of frustration you’re feeling. However, the presence of the Moon in the seventh house shows to what degree your husband has control over your emotions. This is not a healthy situation, as I’m sure you’re aware.
Let us take a look at your job. It is shown by Saturn in Leo, ruler of your 10th house. Is it a good job? No; Saturn is in its detriment, so there is a real sense of pressure and even lack of reward. Saturn is in the fifth house of children, so we can see that your job is potentially afflicting your child. This is not unusual, as you obviously would not be able to spend as much time with your baby. If we place you, or rather Venus, just inside the 10th house, we can see how you would theoretically fare at your job. Venus in the 10th house in a night chart, which this is, does not have very much dignity in Capricorn. But it is not in terrible shape, either. It’s sort of a neutral situation without too much benefit or loss. If we place the Moon in the 10th house, showing how you would feel at your job, we do not get a warm and fuzzy feeling. Moon in Capricorn is in its detriment, so we get the sense that you would feel emotionally starved and generally unhappy.
If we place the Moon in the fourth house, it puts Moon in Cancer, which is the sign of its domicile. So there is a real sense that you would feel emotionally fulfilled staying at home. Venus is not terribly strong in Cancer either, so ultimately, it does not make a huge difference whether you go to work or stay at home, if we just look at the practical aspects of the situation. If we look at the emotional side of it, staying at home seems much more pleasant.
Perhaps a good middle ground would be to find another job: lawyers do have many options, and I am sure that you could find some kind of work that did not require you to work with people you don’t like or the kind of hours that you simply cannot sustain with a small baby.

I would like to know about my love life in the future, mainly if I will marry and be happy, also if my ex-boyfriend will come back to me, or if the current man I am with is the one (I am 20 years old, by the way)? I want to explore near and far future, if that is possible. I would also like to know about my career path, what is going to happen with my career, what will I be, and how will I get started?
Perhaps because I tend to be overly descriptive myself, I am in awe at the way in which you put so many important issues in such a short space. This would be an excellent place in which to let my readers know that if they want more specific information in their answers, they will need to include more specifics. That said, it’s amazing just how much blood we can squeeze from a stone, or rather how much information we can squeeze from such a short question. Typically, answers of as major import as you mention are best reserved for in-depth natal readings, which I also do off the blog for a fee. However, because this advice column is about horary astrology, I am sure that the readers will appreciate the way in which we can get to the important issues even without delving into the deep recesses of a person’s horoscope.
As always in this column, I used horary astrology to analyze your question. This is a very ancient method which uses the moment of the question to find an answer in the horoscope cast for the question. If you think about it, everything in the universe has a birth chart, no matter how great or small. Your question has a chart as well, and inside it is the answer. The horary chart for your question is below:
You gave multiple questions; this is fine, and I will take your questions in the order in which you have given them. In this horoscope, you are shown by Venus. Venus is not doing terribly well in this horoscope, or it should say it thinks it’s doing okay, but it really isn’t. Venus is in Virgo, which is the sign of its fall — Venus is also in its triplicity. So we have this interesting ambiguity, were planet is doing okay (triplicity), but the overall picture is relatively bleak (Venus is in fall). Venus is also in the 12th house, which it rules, because 12th house is the house of self undoing. Venus is a seductive planet, showing that we all have a tendency to very easily slip into self undoing and bad habits. So this gives us a picture as to what is going on with you, you’re probably not making very good decisions right now, but you feel pretty good about that. In other words, you are happily self undoing.
Marriage is definitely possible for you; since you’re 20 years old, the odds are going to be heavily tilted toward your marrying at least once during your lifetime. I don’t see any afflictions to the seventh house or its ruler that would be total deal breakers, so I can only assume that you will marry. The fact that Mars, the Lord of the seventh house, the house of partners, is in the first house itself, shows us that you’ll probably marry pretty easily, and the guide will come to you of his own accord. The Moon is also applying to Venus in Virgo, which is an overall good indication for marriage. I am not too thrilled to see this happening in the 12th house and also in Virgo, which is a barren sign, but I think this will speak more to the quality of the marriage.
Even if we look at the part of marriage, which is a point calculated using the degree of the ascendant, the ascendant, and the position of Venus, we see that it is at 18° Aries in the seventh house, and the picture is not terribly positive. Its ruler is Mars in Libra in the first house. The fact that Mars is angular and in your own house shows that you will get married, likely within a few years and easily. However, I am not sure that the marriage will be of very good quality. Would you want your marriage to be symbolized by the God of war in the sign of his detriment? I should think not. Most likely, you’ll marry quickly, but the relationship will be far better at the beginning than later on. Depending on your cultural and religious views, this may mean that you will divorce.
I also wanted to know if your boyfriend will come back. I think there will be an opportunity for him to come back, but I don’t think anything will come of it. The Moon will translate light between Venus and the Sun, with the Sun being his male libido aspect, so there is some sense of mutual physical attraction here, but when the Moon conjoins the Sun, we are going to get a solar eclipse. This does not bode well for the relationship. So I do not think you’ll come back, but I do not think you have a whole lot to regret, given that his planet, the Sun is not in very good shape here. Yes, it will move into Libra, where it loves Venus (you!) soon, but there are no upcoming aspects to confirm your getting together.
I think your current guy is a better bet, if he is Mercury in Libra in the first house, as I suspect. You like him, he likes you (note the mutual reception by sign), and he seems much more desirable than the ex boyfriend. The Sun is just not doing too well, given that it’s about to be eclipsed. I’d rather have a Mercury in Libra, even though it doesn’t have a whole lot of dignity, but it’s just doing so much better than the Sun. Does this mean that your current boyfriend is Mr. Soulmate, who will love you forever and ever? Maybe. You could do a lot worse.
You also asked about your career, and wanted to know what you will be when you grow up. Whenever people ask about careers in horary questions, I always request that they give me a few options. There are just way too many jobs out there in the world, so we have to narrow it down. If your career is shown by the Moon in Virgo about to conjoin Venus (because Moon rules your 10th house of career), we have a few interesting possibilities. The 12th house is normally malefic, so this could just show that your career will not be a good one all have to do with the self undoing professions, which I will be if your imagination. However, the 12th house also rules prisons and large animals. So you could work as a corrections person, but given that your career is shown by the Moon, you’d be more likely to be a counselor in some institution of that sort. You might also work with animals, such as a vet or something. The fact that the Moon is with Venus, and in a Mercury sign gives us a sense that there is some analytical work as well as aesthetic work involved here. One possibility is that you are destined to be a designer of horse dress for racehorses. Obviously, I’m only joking, but if we do not have options to choose from, we have to use our imagination, and mine is extremely fertile.
