Hi Judy,

Good question. I added this to the SoM section above:

"The significator of mind (aka Significator of Manner in some texts) describes the native’s personality, and the way he or she thinks and interacts with the world."

Best wishes,
Nina

What does the significator of mind tell us that we don't learn from the Moon and Mercury? What is its role in the horoscope? Thanks.

Hi Goran,

Wow, thank you! I really appreciate your kind words. I have learned a lot from writing this blog; just setting down my ideas on "paper" has been extremely helpful.

I like your interpretation of the Moon in Pisces in the 3rd as mirror writing. My first thought was actually Saturn in Libra rx, opposite Mercury, as the mirror writing, which was in code (Saturn rules locks). Your idea is better, though; the Moon is the ultimate mirror.

Best wishes,
Nina

Hello, Nina
I think that Leonardo's "mirror writing" has to do with this placement of the moon in the 3rd house-writings, documents,speech,articulation-(as if you didn't know that!), in the fertile sign pisces in its joy, conjunct its lord Jupiter . As we know, the moon rules mirrors (and silver, which actually conveys this mirroring ability to a piece of glass) since it mirrors the light of the Sun itself and is thus the greatest and the very first of all the mirrors in this world :-)

Just one more thing to add-I honestly think that your astrology blog is a real treasure for all those who want to learn about real, traditional astrology. I've certainly learned a lot, since I've discovered it in 2006 and I'm really grateful to you.
Please, keep up the great, kind and generous work of sharing your knowledge with all the people who are interested in it. There are not many people like you in this world, and I feel personally enriched for having gotten a chance to "meet" you via this blog. What else can I say- you're a treasure also:-)
