Sigh.  I wish it were so!  Our society is not all that civilized (at least here in the US, people get shot all the time), and that's just the Western part of the world.  Just think of the rest of the world, where deadly violence is on the daily program.

I do think you are right, though, in saying that Mars in Gemini expresses itself verbally. That's why Blair isn't a boxer, for instance.  I doubt Mars has changed over time - we are as violent as species as ever.  In Blair's case, Mercury is a key planet, which helps him sublimate the aggression into a verbal form.

		<description>How about the idea that in our civilised society, where you can't just physically attack people, Mars finds its main outlet through words? Tony Blair has Mars Rising in Gemini, and you should have seen him perform at PM's question time. Maybe Mars has had to adapt, but he's become pretty good in Air. Like words can hurt a lot more than a black eye.</description>
