Mars in Taurus is definitely spendy, though your Saturn in Capricorn probably keeps a lid on it. And yes, the second house rules food and the throat, so the acid reflux seems to fit as well. Probably best to stay away from rich (Taurus) or spicy (Mars) food!

Can you say "spend-a-holic?" I knew you could. I'm slow, set my ways, and spontaneity is *not* my middle name. I also have a partile trine to Saturn in Capricorn in the 11th. I call this aspect "the workhorse." As Mick Jagger (another w/ Mars in Taurus) sang: "start me up, I never stop." I can be utterly lazy as well, but when the mood is on I just keep going. I love good food, clothes, nice furniture, books, music -- well, you name it. With Sun/Venus/Merc in Cancer, I am a fairly good cook and very domestic. I don't lose my temper very often, but when I do, it can be violent. It very much expresses in the classic "takes it, takes it, and takes it, then suddenly detonates like Vesuvius over some piddling detail. I like working out in the gym, using weight machines & free weights. I also injured my back doing that. ;-) I have recently had a bout of GERD - acid reflux - that I am struggling to control. I actually enjoyed the 6 mo. transit of Mars through Taurus, although it came during a time when my mother fell ill and died. I had lots of energy & duties to perform.
