As a Harry Potter fan, I can't understand why I didn't think of this first! :) But about the turned 8th house: isn't it the 2nd, ruled by Mercury, not the radical 3rd, ruled by Venus? There isn't any aspect between Mercury (ruler of turned 8th/death) and Mars (dispositor of Jupiter in Scorpio/Harry). Neither is there an aspect between Jupiter in Scorpio and Mercury in Cancer. So I'm concluding the boy gets off, but, according to JKR two other characters aren't so lucky. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this, btw! At last, a question of true import!
