Horary Question:

My brother is a schizophrenia patient, and has been missing since December 9, 2006. We are trying our best to find him. I want to know if we will able to find him? Or if he himself will come back? If yes, then could you give me some idea when he will come back? This is the third time he has gone missing like this, but last two times he remembered the phone number and he could reach us, but this time he does not remember the new phone number. My brother was living with my mother. We all have been very tense. Please help!

I am very sorry to hear about your brother. I cannot imagine how worried your family must be for his safety and well-being. Horary astrology can show whether he will come back or be found, and if so, when. The horoscope for the time I understood your horary question is below:

You are shown by the Lord of the first house, Venus in Aquarius in the 10th house. We see that your brother had left you some time ago, as the Moon had opposed Venus earlier in the sign. Oppositions show separations or breakups, which is very appropriate here.

Your brother is shown by the ruler of the third house of siblings, the Moon in Leo. He wishes to come home, because the Moon is in the benefic fifth house and is not afflicted, and beholds the Ascendant. So far, the signs are encouraging, because if he wants to be found, it will be a lot easier for you. Now we have to see whether we can find a way to connect you and your brother in this chart.

We see that the Moon recently separated from a trine to a very strong Jupiter. The English astrologer, William Lilly, writes that “if the significator of the absent be strong and separated from a fortune, and in a good house, the absent lives.” Now, Jupiter does rule the eighth house of death, but your brother’s significator and Jupiter seem strong enough that I believe him to be alive. It may be that Jupiter is some kind of charitable third party or something like that where he has been able to find shelter.

The good news is that Venus will sextile Jupiter in 8°. This shows that you will be in touch with that third party, who will be able to get you back together with your brother.

Now, the question is when will this happen? Since the Moon separated from Venus (your brother left you) 10° ago, and this shows a month, we would expect 8° to show less than one month from the time of the question on January 5, 2007.
