Astrology of the Full Moon: Full Moon of February 1/February 2 2007
January 8th, 2007 at 10:49 am (Current Events)
The full Moon on February 1st or 2nd, 2007 (depends where you are located) falls at 13° Leo/Aquarius. The planet ruling this full Moon is the Sun; because the Moon is the luminary above the earth and it is in the sign of the Sun. Therefore, we will look to the Sun to give us hints as to the month ahead. The horoscope for the full Moon of February 1/2 2007 is below, set for Washington, DC:
The full Moon itself falls right on the midheaven, suggesting that the U.S. government, and more specifically, the president will be strongly affected. This is reinforced by the notion that the Sun rules this full Moon. The Sun is the natural ruler of all kings and rulers, so there is a very strong sense of important events at the very highest levels of government.
We can see that a very detrimented Saturn afflicts the 10th house of the King, indicating that this will not be an easy time for the president. Saturn is also in mutual reception by sign with the Sun, indicating that protracted trouble is coming to the highest office. Eclipses in the fixed signs indicate trouble for the highest dignitaries; it may well be that this full Moon has similar effects, though ones not as strong as that of an eclipse.
After opposing the Sun, the Moon will next trine a very strong Jupiter in Sagittarius in the second house. This may provide a hint as to the kind of difficulties the president can expect to encounter. In the second house, Jupiter indicates the country’s money. There may well be disagreements or even standoffs with regard to the country’s budget and the way that money is spent. The Sun will shortly sextile Jupiter, indicating that the president will at least have the opportunity to get what he wants from the budget. However, he will likely not get everything he wanted, as Jupiter is not very interested in the Sun by reception.

This chart is also a classic set-up for a major winter storm along the east coast. And with Mars on the cusp of the 3rd (although exalted), I would expect the usual traffic problems. Anyone interested in astrometeorology should check out http://www.weathersage.com.

Dear Gary,
I love astrometeorology! And Carolyn Egan is very good at it, too. Thanks for your comment.

There is going to be a snow storm on the east coast on friday, and it has potential to be major (6-10 inches).
