John Frawley told me we shouldnt assume that they stopped working some time between then and now. And although I can see his point, if it werent for the western medicine of the 1950s in the USA, I wouldnt be here right now. I had pyloric spasms and couldnt keep any milk down for several weeks after birth and had to be fed intravenously; otherwise I would have died. My chart has a 12th house stellium in Cancer (of course) with Lord 1 (Sun) conj the So Node therein. Saturn in the 4th is sq the asc (Saturn is L6).
