Astrology of Eclipses: Lunar Eclipse of September 7th - Dengue in India

Astrology of the Lunar Eclipse of September 7 - India Dengue Outbreak

As I mentioned in my original post on the astrology of the September 7th Lunar Eclipse, one of the problems with having the eclipse in a water sign (Pisces) ruled by a moist planet (Jupiter) in another water sign (Scorpio) is the distinct possibility of water-borne disease among the common folk. With this year’s huge dengue outbreak in India, William Lilly’s words come to mind:

An eclipse of the Sun or Moon in the watery triplicity presages a rot or consumption of the vulgar sort of people [...] In Virgo or Pisces…it shows that very many fountains shall be corrupt and grow impure, and the river waters not wholesome.

If you don’t know what dengue is (I know I had to look it up), it is a viral disease spread by mosquitoes, not terribly different from malaria, sometimes fatal. Last year, the World Health Organization reported 900 cases of dengue in India; this year, there are 3000 so far.

As to the timing of the outbreak, here is the quote from the earlier post on the Eclipse:

India - begin between September 17 - 27, 2006, strongest between October 1 - 15th, 2006

Also note that the September 7th Lunar Eclipse was right on the Midheaven in New Delhi (the horoscope set for New Delhi is in the original lunar eclipse post); it did not fail to manifest. Jupiter brings trouble to the people in power, and this year, a few members of the Indian Prime Minister’s family came down with dengue symptoms. As well, parts of India are experiencing epidemic proportions of the similar but usually rarer disease chikungunya. I am glad not to be living in the tropics right now.

Current Affairs: Horary Astrology - Will Dennis Hastert Resign?

Horary Astrology - Will Hastert Resign? - Napoleon I

As an astrologer, I find political scandals fascinating, such as the recent one with Mark Foley. What tends to interest me about such political fallouts is the way in which blame spreads like wildfire, leaving nothing untouched. This being an election year, it is as though the ground was first thoroughly soaked in gasoline. I was particularly interested to see how House Speaker Denny Hastert was going to fare, with increasing pressures on him to resign his job.

I cast a horary to see what would happen to Hastert. I noticed the late degrees of the rising sign, which made me wonder whether the decision had not already been made, even though the question has been asked on October 3.

The horary chart for the question “Will Hastert resign due to the scandal?” is here:

Horary Astrology - Will Hastert Resign?

Hastert himself is shown by Mars in Libra in the turned sixth house. The sign of Libra is ruled by Hastert’s opponents (7th from the 7th). By being in their sign, Hastert is very much at their mercy, which explains why Mars is so debilitated in Libra. Beyond being in a malefic house, Mars is also combust, which is the greatest affliction that can happen to a planet. Being close to the Sun is considered very harmful, due to the Sun’s excessive heat. What’s more problematic here, is that the Sun is moving faster than Mars, getting even closer to Mars. So Mars is going to be even more debilitated as time goes on, though it will be a slow process.

However, we do not see Mars about to change signs, nor do we see any change in sign by the job, ruler of Hastert’s 10th house of career (Saturn in Leo). Too, the fact that the 10th cusp is in a fixed sign, and its ruler is in a fixed sign makes me think that there will be no immediate resignation. I also cast the Part of Resignation and Dismissal, and its dispositor, Venus, is not aspecting either the job or Hastert himself.

The applying opposition between the moon and Saturn might suggest resignation, as opposition is the aspect that breaks people or things apart. However, Mars is applying to Saturn by sextile (Hastert going to the job), which makes me think that Hastert is more likely to get reelected for the position should the Republicans retain control of the House. The Sun applying to Mars however, shows increasing pressure on Hastert, so even if he gets reelected for the Speaker position, it looks as though his troubles are far from over.

Update: I have thought about the applying Mars-Saturn sextile some more, and because both planets are so very essentially weak (both are in detriment),  I find it less likely that Hastert will get reelected for the Speaker position next year.  To have an effective aspect between two planets, the planets need some manner of essential strength; these two are very weak, indeed, and Saturn (the job) does not care for Mars (Hastert) at all.  Odds of Hastert’s reelection are low.

Just the other day, I read a very relevant quote in On the Psychology of Military Incompetence:

It is a sad feature of authoritarian organizations that their nature militates against the possibility of learning from the experience through the apportioning of blame… Since authoritarianism is itself the product of psychological defenses, authoritarian organizations are past masters at deflecting blame. They do so by denial, by rationalization, by making scapegoats, or by some mixture of the three. However it is achieved, the net result is that no real admission of failure or incompetence is ever made by those who are really responsible; hence nothing can be done about preventing a recurrence.

Free Astrology Advice - Horary Astrology: Will We Sell the House and When?

Free Astrology Advice - Horary Astrology - Sell House?

Question:

Am I ever going to sell my house? It’s been on the market for 4 months and no one is interested (even though we have updates). We are very discouraged!

—D.

Nina Gryphon:

Dear D.,

As you or anyone who reads this column at all regularly knows, the US housing market is not doing terribly well these days, especially in areas where it tended to become highly inflated. Either of the coasts fall under this heading, and people everywhere are trying very hard to sell houses that suddenly just will not move.

At the end of this column, I will give the very popular instructions for working with St. Joseph to sell your house. I get a lot of e-mails regarding this, and a number of requests for the St. Joseph real estate kits, so I find the information is worthwhile repeating every now and then.

I cast a horary chart (Greek: “of the hour”) for the moment I understood your question, using this ancient technique that is built on the premise that all questions contain the answers within them, and the way this translates to astrology is that the horoscope for the question also has the answer. The horary chart for your question is below:

Free Astrology Advice - Horary Astrology - Sell House?

You are represented by Venus in Virgo, while the person who will buy your house is shown by Mars in Libra. Venus is quite weak in Virgo, which is the sign of Venus’s fall. What is the reason for Venus’s weakness? Mercury, which rules Venus’s sign. Here, Mercury is the buyer’s money, so Venus is not doing too well because she is dependent on getting the buyer’s money.

Mars (the buyer) is also weak in Libra, the sign of its detriment, but for a somewhat different reason. Mars is very interested in Venus, so we can see that there is an interested buyer on the horizon. Also, in Libra, Mars is in the exaltation of Saturn. This means that the buyer overestimates and very highly values whatever Saturn represents. Saturn rules the fourth house of real estate, so we see that the buyer highly values and overestimates the value of the house. If you are the seller, this is excellent news.

You mention your house has been on the market four months and has not yet sold. Let us take a look at why that might be. As I said, the house is shown by Saturn in Leo, which is in its detriment. Unless there is something particularly descriptive about Leo which would not make it negative for Saturn, we can assume the house is not fabulous. You mention the house is about 50 years old; in today’s market, where everyone is looking for a brand-new construction, this can indeed be a problem.

The 10th house shows the price, which is the Moon in Cancer. In Cancer, the Moon is in its own sign, so it is very strong. So we have a relatively weak house combined with a relatively strong price; one can see why the buyers are not flocking. This is especially a problem if the market has fallen off a cliff as a whole, as you would not attract people who are speculating with real estate. The other thing is that in Cancer, the Moon is in Saturn’s detriment, so the price harms the desirability of the house.

However, I would not go and reduce the price drastically just yet. Whoever will buy this house will think it is better than it really is, so presumably they will not mind paying your asking price. The Moon has just separated from a square to Mars, and will sextile Venus in about 4.5 degrees. So we have an astrological phenomenon known as translation of the light, where a fast moving planet picks up one planet and brings it to another. Here, the Moon joins you and the buyer, so the Moon is showing us the agent. So we know the sale will occur 4.5 somethings from the time of the question, which was September 15. With the Moon in the cadent ninth house and in a Cardinal sign, we can assume we are looking at weeks or months. I incline more toward weeks, especially since the buyer seems pretty motivated. So I would expect the sale in the second half of October.

Spiritual Work – Selling Your House with Saint Joseph

One way to do help your house sell faster is to petition Saint Joseph, the traditional saint of real estate. Do you have to be Catholic or religious? Definitely not; Saint Joseph works with anyone, and your results will have more to do with your following the instructions carefully and giftedness for this sort of work than anything else.

The traditional way to work with Saint Joseph is to burn a Saint Joseph candle dressed with Saint Joseph oil and with special herbs associated with the saint. Too, you will want to put a Saint Joseph print that has been dressed with the oil among your house papers (like the deed of ownership, etc.). The whole property must be liberally dressed with Saint Joseph oil, and one would bury a Saint Joseph statuette (also dressed with the oil) upside down on the property. Then, you make a prayer for the saint’s assistance. Once the property sells, the statuette must be dug up, cleaned off and put in a place of honor in the new home. This is important, as not giving Saint Joseph proper respect will result in problems involving the old property.

I have had a number of people e-mailing me asking me where they can obtain St. Joseph spiritual supplies. I sell a St. Joseph real estate kit, which includes a Saint Joseph blessed candle, St. Joseph oil, a St. Joseph statuette, a chromo print, and a holy card, as well as complete instructions for use. These kits cost $20 plus shipping. You can contact me if interested at nina@gryphonastrology.com. These kits have proved extremely popular, and are momentarily out of stock. However, I am currently taking pre-orders from interested parties, and expect to have the kits back in stock by the middle of October. The kits will be shipped out on a first-come, first-served basis.

To inquire about purchasing the Saint Joseph items mentioned for real estate spiritual work, or to inquire about a private astrology reading, contact me at nina@gryphonastrology.com.

Free Astrology Advice - Horary Astrology: Will My Hands Make It?

Free Astrology Advice - Will My Hands (Health) Make It?

Question:

I am a full-time student in court reporting school, and I love it. I have about another year-and-a-half left to go. Here is my dilemma: I have been supporting myself working as a massage therapist (I enjoy that as well) but my hands have started giving me problems. I’m really scared! I was counting on my income as a masseuse to get me through school. Will I make it? I’m not trained to do much else. I’m hoping this is just a temporary set-back.

—M.

Nina Gryphon:

Dear M.,

I sympathize with your situation, and as someone who makes their living through writing and speaking, I always wonder at how difficult it is for people who make a living with their bodies. I know a man who is a sports instructor who does not go on any sports vacations (such as ski trips) for fear of being injured and rendered unable to work. And that is why I understand that your hands are your income, so if they are out of commission, you don’t make money.

With questions related to well-being, I always recommend that you listen to your doctor first and foremost, or another qualified practitioner. I’m not a physician, obviously.

As always, I set a horoscope for the moment I received your question. This is a technique known as horary astrology, in which the horoscope set for the time of the question contains the answer. The horoscope chart is below:

Free Astrology Advice - Horary Astrology - Will My Hands Make It?

First, we have to see how you are doing overall. I see that the star Algol is right on the ascendant, which is the star associated with losing one’s head. I have yet to see a horary chart in which this is literal, and usually it indicates that the client is in a panic. That is, they have lost their head, metaphorically speaking. So, the first word of advice would be to calm down, and not worry too much.

Venus, ruler of the ascendant is not doing very well, because it is in its sign of fall, and it is also in the sign contrary to its own nature. Venus is a hot and moist planet; Virgo is cold and dry, so obviously something is wrong. Why is Venus in such bad shape? Because it is in Virgo, the sign of Mercury. Mercury will then represent your illness. Mercury is in Libra, a Cardinal sign, showing the illness will be short, though possibly acute, as Mercury is about to conjunct Mars. Too, Venus herself in a mutable sign makes me think the problem will come and go for a while.

Also, let us see what is going to happen with your hands themselves. The third house rules the shoulders, arms, and hands. If we see a horoscope as a bodily continuum, the shoulders would be at the start of the third house, while the hands will be toward the end of the third house. Therefore, the hands in the chart will be ruled by the Sun, ruler of the fourth cusp. How is the Sun? Not great. It is a hot and dry planet in a cold and dry sign, Virgo, where it has little essential dignity. Like Venus, it is naturally influenced by Mercury, which rules Virgo. The Sun is about to conjoin the malefic South node, indicating, similar to Mars above, that things may get a little but worse before they get better. Because the Sun is also in a mutable sign, like Venus, we get yet another testimony of a problem that keeps coming and going.

This is why I would highly recommend finding something to supplement your income in the near future while this thing comes and goes. It may cause fluctuations in your income, at least for the short term. I do not think that the problems will last a terribly long time, but you should take it easy for a while, especially if something more acute is on the horizon.

Celebrity Astrology: Who Will Win Dancing with the Stars - Joey Lawrence?

Joey Lawrence Horoscope - Dancing with the Stars - Tambourine Dancer

I have a confession to make. I am a big, big fan of Dancing with the Stars, the reality show on ABC where B- and C-list celebrities (or at least ones I never heard of) are paired with professional dancers, and must learn a new ballroom dance every week to impress both the judges and the audience. Is there a way to tell who would win, astrologically speaking?

Of course, being an astrologer, after I watched the show a few times, little wheels in my head started turning. We could probably look at noontime horoscopes for the contestants, which would be interesting, and we could see how good everyone’s odds were, relative to each other. I would love to have your feedback on each contestant, especially if you watch the show, because then you can also take each contestant’s skills into account. What do you think, based on the astro charts for the contestants?

So I thought I would kick off a new series of blog posts, one each about a contestant still on the show as of the time of the post. I will start with the chart of Joey Lawrence, an actor who has been on Americans’ TV sets since the 1980s, when he was a child.

Joey Lawrence’s horoscope is here:

Joey Lawrence Horoscope - Dancing with the Stars

Since we are curious about his ability to win the contest, we would want to look toward his 10th house of fame and success. The Sun is right on the midheaven, but because this is a noontime chart, we would expect the Sun to be somewhere in the general vicinity of the top of the chart. Just inside the 10th house, we see Jupiter in Taurus, ruled (as is the entire 10th house) by Venus in Aries in the ninth house. So we are going to be very interested in the doings of Venus, Jupiter, and to a lesser degree the Sun (more because the Sun is naturally related to fame, than because it is right on the midheaven).

Venus and Jupiter are naturally benefic planets, which might put Joey Lawrence ahead of the game. If Venus and Jupiter look good, they bring success without too much effort or at least without serious difficulties. When we look at Joey Lawrence’s progressions for 2006, we see that the Moon will sextile Jupiter in December. Given that the sextile is a beneficial aspect, and Jupiter is a benefic planet, we can see one positive testimony for Joey Lawrence winning the contest here. However, I wouldn’t get too excited about this because it’s not an earthshaking, amazing aspect. It’s just pretty good.

The nice thing is that Joey’s progressed Moon has just left Aquarius and entered Pisces, the sign of Jupiter and the terms of Venus. That’s not bad! His progressed Sun, has just recently moved into Gemini, which is neither bad nor good, so I would like to see a little more support from the Sun as well.

Joey Lawrence’s solar return for 2006 is here:

Joey Lawrence Horoscope - Dancing with the Stars - Solar Return

We can see that Venus and Jupiter trine each other from the fifth house of pleasure (including dancing) and the first house of the self, respectively. This seems like a very promising aspect for Joey Lawrence winning the contest. The thing that worries me a bit is Saturn in its detriment in Leo right inside the 10th house of success, square the Sun which is about to set in the seventh house. This might put a serious damper on Joey Lawrence’s chances of winning, unless the other contestants’ charts look worse.

Final verdict on Joey Lawrence? Looks promising for a win, but with a considerable chance of messing up.

Celebrity Astrology: Mark Foley’s Fall from Grace in His Horoscope

Celebrity Astrology - Mark Foley's Horoscope - Fallen

As we all try to recover from the shock of learning about Mark Foley’s predilection for underage boys, it occurred to me to take an astrological look at what was going on with Foley’s horoscope at the time of his resignation on September 29. I’ve always been very interested in the indications of a fall from grace, especially for people, like Foley, who ascended rather rapidly.

We have to remember when we look at horoscope that the average person lives about 75 years. Therefore, very few of the things we see in the horoscope are statically determined. We can see both an ascent to fortune, as well as a decline in fortune, all in the same life. For some people, this happens more than once. I believe this is the case for Mark Foley, whom I would expect to have a fairly dramatic chart. We would expect to see great benefits on the one hand, and serious problems on the other.

Mark Foley was born on September 8, 1954, in Newton, Massachusetts. Because we are looking at his public life, we will use the chart set for noon time. As I have demonstrated and explained on this blog, such as with the horoscope of Steve Irwin, these charts are highly suitable and highly accurate when you look at the public aspects of a person’s life.

Mark Foley’s horoscope is below:

Mark Foley's Horoscope

Because we are looking at Mark Foley’s career, we will focus primarily on the 10th house of fame and career. The ruler of the 10th house is Mercury in Libra, on the verge of entering the 11th house. This is considered a very benefic placement, as the 11th house is considered extremely positive, but Mercury itself is Peregrine, and therefore without dignity. As a result, all by itself, Mercury will not give very much fame, or the fame it does give will not be altogether positive.

The cause for fame will be Venus in Scorpio, which rules Mercury’s sign, Libra. Venus is in its detriment in Scorpio, and it is conjunct Saturn, a malefic planet in Scorpio. The causes for fame will be bad ones, in general. And indeed, whenever Mark Foley entered the national newspapers in a big way, it was always about his sexuality, and rumors flew about his sexual orientation as early as 1996. By 2003, Foley aborted a political campaign because of increasing evidence indicating he was gay, which did not mesh with his conservative image. It should not come as a surprise that Venus and Saturn are in the 12th house of self-undoing, secrets and hidden enemies.

Claudius Ptolemy, about 2000 years ago, wrote some choice phrases describing the sexual preferences of people with Venus-Saturn combinations. However, I am sure many people have Venus conjunct Saturn without preying on children; though no doubt Venus in detriment, Saturn Peregrine, and Mars sextile that whole mess does not help matters.

If we look at Mark Foley’s progressions for 2006, we will notice that his progressed ascendant entered Capricorn this summer, the sign ruled by Saturn conjunct Venus in the 12th house. The terms of the signs are especially important in progressions, and we see that in entering Capricorn, the ascendant also entered the terms of that detrimented Venus in Scorpio. Given that it takes 20 to 30 years for the Ascendant to go through a sign, its change of signs often portends an important time. Since Saturn and Venus are so debilitated in Foley’s natal horoscope, the chickens are coming home to roost.

Mark Foley’s solar return for 2006 does not look auspicious, either. Mercury is cadent in the third house, from where it cannot do much good, though it is in its exaltation and sign in Virgo. The solar return ruler of the 10th house of fame is Mars, in its detriment in Libra in the fourth house. The moon, ruler of the first house opposes Mercury from Pisces, the sign of Mercury’s detriment and fall. This shows that Foley will be the author of his own fall from fame.

Free Astrology Advice - Horary Astrology: Will We Win the Lawsuit?

Free Astrology Advice - Horary Astrology - Lawsuit Horoscope - Lawyer in Study

Question:

Will my husband get back the money he invested? My husband invested a lot of money in a business with two partners. Now one of the partners has taken the whole business in her hand and is running the business as if she is the whole and sole of the business - she does not consult the other partners and does not also give the accounts. She has hired family members who all draw large salaries, while the other two partners have yet to receive a penny from the business. The other two partners (including my husband) have now taken solicitor’s advice and have filed suit against her. Do you think we will win the case ?

S.

Nina Gryphon:

Dear S.,

As a lawyer, I like getting questions about lawsuits, perhaps because I “get” what you’re asking. There is still nothing like real world experience to understand an astrological chart on a given topic.

As always, I have set a horary chart, which is a horoscope for the moment I understood your question. The idea behind horary charts is that the answer to your question is contained in the moment of the question. There is some deep philosophical reasoning behind this, but I won’t get into that here yet. In any case, it is a very old method, and works quite reliably.

Let us take a look at the horoscope:

Free Astrology Advice - Horary Astrology - Lawsuit Horoscope

In this horoscope, you are shown by Venus in Virgo in the 11th house. Your opponent is shown by the opposite house, the seventh, and its ruler, Mars in Libra, in the 12th house. Before we get into who will win, I wanted to offer a few observations that may help you decide on the next steps in this lawsuit.

Your opponent thinks you’re going to win. This is because Mars, the planet showing your opponent, is in Venus’s sign — and you are Venus. This is an excellent indication that you may want to press for settlement, especially before you start shelling out serious attorney fees. Because Venus is in Virgo, it is very interested in whatever Mercury signifies. Mercury shows the other party’s money, so, as you indicated, you are very interested in getting your hands on it. How is the money? Just recently, Mercury left Virgo, where it was in its sign and exaltation. There used to be a lot of money, but now Mercury is in Libra, and it is Peregrine, with no essential dignity. There is not a lot of money left, and you may be looking at what is called in the United States “a judgment proof” defendant. The other problem is that Mercury is applying to conjoin Mars, showing the defendant’s money going to the defendant, not you.

Let us take a look at what the judge/jury thinks. After all, that is an excellent indication of who is going to win. The decision-maker is the 10th house, which year is ruled by the moon in Gemini in the eighth house. How is the moon? It is Peregrine, without any dignity. Unfortunately, you only got a so-so judge. He’s not totally corrupt, but hardly a brilliant legal mind. The moon in Gemini does not care for Venus at all, and slightly favors Mars. So far, the judgment looks indifferent between the two of you.

Finally, we need to look at the verdict. The verdict is the fourth house, which in this chart is ruled by Saturn in Leo in the 10th house. Saturn in Leo has just moved out of Venus’s term, into Mars’s face. This gives us an inkling that the verdict will not favor either side strongly, though it will slightly benefit the defendant. However, we also see that the moon (the judge) has just separated from Venus, and will now sextile Saturn (the verdict). On its face, this shows an outcome favoring the plaintiff. Very likely, then, the verdict will superficially favor the plaintiff, but in reality will not do much to help her situation. It could well be, that this is because it will be very difficult to get any real money out of the defendant at the end of the day.

Astrology of Eclipses: Results of Lunar Eclipse of September 7, 2006

Astrology of Lunar Eclipses - Russia and Georgia - Soldiers Cheating

As you can read in my article on the astrological effects of the September 7th lunar eclipse, you will find that both Russia and the Republic of Georgia were expected to be affected toward the end of September through October 1.

When will the effects of the lunar eclipse be felt?

Egypt, Republic of Georgia, Turkey and Russia - begin between September 7 - 17, 2006, strongest between September 17 and October 1, 2006

If you have been following the news at all, you will know that Georgia has arrested four Russian officers for alleged espionage in recent days. Russia has retaliated against Georgia severely, and this week the Kremlin has suspended all forms of transportation between Russia and Georgia. In addition, Russia has slapped Georgia with economic sanctions, despite Georgia’s release of the four officers into Russian custody.

The ruler of the September 7 eclipse is Jupiter, a moist planet in Scorpio, moist sign. The sanctions that Russia imposed on Georgia are restrictions on Georgian export of its wine, and its bottled water. This confrontation goes to show that the effects of eclipses are almost always negative, even if the eclipse is ruled by a benefic planet such as Jupiter.

Free Astrology Advice - Horary Astrology: Will I Marry and When?

Free Astrology Advice - Horary Astrology - When Will I Marry? - A Toast

Question:

I have been looking to get married for the last eight years but my issues have been to find the right guy. When I felt I found him, he disappeared. Please help me and tell me about when I will get married, and the quality of the marriage.

—H.

Nina Gryphon:

Dear H.,

As you may well imagine, I get a number of questions asking “when will I get married?” However, people sometimes forget that we need to see in the chart whether they will get married at all, so that is the question will need to address first of all. First, of course, we have to take common sense into account; since you’re about 30 years old, the odds are quite favorable that you will marry. So unless the chart shows very clearly you will never marry, the playing field is tilted toward you, as it were.

I cast a horoscope for the time I understood your question, and will analyze your question using horary astrology, an ancient astrological technique whereby we can find the answer in the chart for the time the question was asked. Incidentally, this was the preferred method of consulting astrologers throughout at least the last 2500 years. Most likely, this is because the expense of doing a complete natal workup was too high for most people (no computers!), and also because many people did not know their birth times, and perhaps not even their exact birth dates.

Free Astrology Advice - Horary Astrology - When Will I Marry?

To see whether you will marry, we would look for particularly unfavorable testimony. It would take a lot of negative indications for us to determine the you will never get married; and indeed, there is nothing in this chart that severely afflicts your odds. We don’t see major afflictions by the Sun (which destroys by the excess of heat), or by Saturn (which destroys by the excess of cold), so we can assume that you will someday get married.

That said, I also do not see an immediate testimony of marriage. I do see that you’re heartbroken, however, and are trying to recover from a past disappointment. Needless to say, this is hardly a state in which one is highly appealing to potential marriage partners. When we look at your emotional state, symbolized by the Moon in Gemini, we see it has just separated from a square to the Sun in Virgo. Since the Sun is the natural ruler of men, we can see that there was some kind of tension (square aspect) between you and a suitor. Both the Moon and the Sun are in barren signs, Gemini and Virgo, which is one testimony that this relationship did not lead to marriage. Both the Moon and the Sun are in signs ruled by Mercury, which symbolizes you as a person in his horoscope, so you controlled this relationship. Unfortunately, Mercury is in Libra, where it is in the fall of the Sun. Very recently, Mercury moved into Libra from Virgo; you were quite happy with this relationship when it was happening, but you were also heavily into yourself and your own needs (Mercury was in its own sign), which may have led to the end of the relationship. Currently, as Mercury is in the fall of the Sun, you are obviously quite disappointed and upset with the man who refused to marry you.

You are also symbolized by Venus, which is your urge to find a mate. Venus is in its fall in Virgo, and therefore you are obviously currently in no state to find a husband. As a whole, we can see very clearly in the chart that you’re still licking your wounds from the previous disappointment. Therefore, there is no marriage in the immediate future. This does not mean, of course, that you will not get married; I am sure that you will. However, it looks as though it will take you about eight months from the time of the question (in mid-September) to get your bearings back, and only then I would start thinking about pursuing marriage. I would, if I were you, re-examine the question astrologically then.

You will notice that Venus is about to sextile Jupiter in about 5 degrees. Jupiter rules the seventh house, showing your potential husband. Normally, a contact between your planet and that of the husband, might indicate marriage, and show its timing. The difficulty here is that Venus and Jupiter are in a very bad mutual reception; Venus is in the detriment of Jupiter, while Jupiter is in the detriment of Venus. So there will be an opportunity for marriage in about five months, but nothing will come of it, as neither of you is in a place in your lives to get married.
