Free Astrology Advice – Horary Astrology: Will We Win the Lawsuit?
October 3, 2006 by admin
Question:
Will my husband get back the money he invested? My husband invested a lot of money in a business with two partners. Now one of the partners has taken the whole business in her hand and is running the business as if she is the whole and sole of the business – she does not consult the other partners and does not also give the accounts. She has hired family members who all draw large salaries, while the other two partners have yet to receive a penny from the business. The other two partners (including my husband) have now taken solicitor’s advice and have filed suit against her. Do you think we will win the case ?

Nina Gryphon:
Dear S.,
As a lawyer, I like getting questions about lawsuits, perhaps because I “get” what you’re asking. There is still nothing like real world experience to understand an astrological chart on a given topic.
As always, I have set a horary chart, which is a horoscope for the moment I understood your question. The idea behind horary charts is that the answer to your question is contained in the moment of the question. There is some deep philosophical reasoning behind this, but I won’t get into that here yet. In any case, it is a very old method, and works quite reliably.
Let us take a look at the horoscope:
In this horoscope, you are shown by Venus in Virgo in the 11th house. Your opponent is shown by the opposite house, the seventh, and its ruler, Mars in Libra, in the 12th house. Before we get into who will win, I wanted to offer a few observations that may help you decide on the next steps in this lawsuit.
Your opponent thinks you’re going to win. This is because Mars, the planet showing your opponent, is in Venus’s sign — and you are Venus. This is an excellent indication that you may want to press for settlement, especially before you start shelling out serious attorney fees. Because Venus is in Virgo, it is very interested in whatever Mercury signifies. Mercury shows the other party’s money, so, as you indicated, you are very interested in getting your hands on it. How is the money? Just recently, Mercury left Virgo, where it was in its sign and exaltation. There used to be a lot of money, but now Mercury is in Libra, and it is Peregrine, with no essential dignity. There is not a lot of money left, and you may be looking at what is called in the United States “a judgment proof” defendant. The other problem is that Mercury is applying to conjoin Mars, showing the defendant’s money going to the defendant, not you.
Let us take a look at what the judge/jury thinks. After all, that is an excellent indication of who is going to win. The decision-maker is the 10th house, which year is ruled by the moon in Gemini in the eighth house. How is the moon? It is Peregrine, without any dignity. Unfortunately, you only got a so-so judge. He’s not totally corrupt, but hardly a brilliant legal mind. The moon in Gemini does not care for Venus at all, and slightly favors Mars. So far, the judgment looks indifferent between the two of you.
Finally, we need to look at the verdict. The verdict is the fourth house, which in this chart is ruled by Saturn in Leo in the 10th house. Saturn in Leo has just moved out of Venus’s term, into Mars’s face. This gives us an inkling that the verdict will not favor either side strongly, though it will slightly benefit the defendant. However, we also see that the moon (the judge) has just separated from Venus, and will now sextile Saturn (the verdict). On its face, this shows an outcome favoring the plaintiff. Very likely, then, the verdict will superficially favor the plaintiff, but in reality will not do much to help her situation. It could well be, that this is because it will be very difficult to get any real money out of the defendant at the end of the day.

Hi Nina,
I would like to ask a question on this chart. Being relatively new to traditional techniques, I am not quite sure why you take Mercury as signf. of the other person’s money: I would have expected to see Venus as she rules Taurus on the 8th cusp. Is this because Venus is already given to the querent, so you take the ruler of the second sign that is in the 8th?
Please enlighten me!
Herman
Dear Herman,
Thanks for visiting! You are *so* not new to traditional techniques
, just being modest, as you tend to be. That’s exactly right; Venus was taken, so we move to the next sign for the opponent’s money, which is Gemini. But beyond that, when you look at the receptions, it simply makes sense that Mercury is the defendant’s money.
Warmly,
Nina
Hi Nina,
thanks for the clarification!
But honestly, having astrology for almost 30 yrs as occupation, and having started to study the tradition only a good 3 yrs ago, I think you give me too much credit! I *did* say “relatively new”
Dear Gopinath,
Yup. You wrote to me a few weeks ago, and are still on my list. But remember, the queue for free readings is l-o-n-g.
Warmly,
Nina
