Hi Gem,

Yes, but it's less powerful than having planets on the fixed stars.

Warmly,
Nina

Is Spica activated by angles as well? It falls on my descendant point...just curious as I know the planets tend to be considered more significant (?).

Best always,

Gem

I love it when I get to learn through others questions too. Good question Mark and great answer Nina. Both very thoughtful and informative. So much fun to browse the sight and see comments too.
I'm off to enjoy some more.

Dear Mark,

Thank you so much for your kind words; I appreciate them very much. When I said "royal stars," I was referring to the six royal stars that actually raise the native to the throne, as it were. Lilly, for one, writes on this. Yes, Regulus, Antares and Aldebaran are three, but then we also have Lucida Lancis, Spica, and Pollux. Fomalhaut, despite being one of the Persian "Four Watchers," does not raise to the throne, because its kingdom is not of this world.

Warmly,
Nina

Hello Nina,

What a great website! Lots of goodies here. I feel rather guilty bringing up a minor point when there is so much fantastic stuff here. However, I note you refer to six 'Royal stars' in your article on Venus in Libra. There are of course only four -Regulus, Antares, Aldebaran and Fomalhaut. I believe they were used to mark the four points of the night sky in ancient Persia.

Best wishes
